形意达摩Xingyi Dharma

达摩祖师是南北朝禅僧，通彻大乘佛法，为佛教中国禅宗初代祖师。一香堂礼意佛事系列达摩香雕整体神情宁静祥和，突显了面壁九年，实现「成就佛道」的愿望；弯眉垂目，意在静心观禅，似已进入摒思绝虑，「无我境界」的传神写照。达摩像均额头高耸，眉骨突兀，眼窝深陷，弯鼻大耳，颇具印度人的面部特征。观其衣纹流畅自然，有流动感，又具汉地造像之风格。

Dharma was a Buddhist master monk of the Northern and Southern Dynasties who had superb understanding in Mahayana Buddhism. Dharma was the founding master of Zen Buddhism in China. The Dharma incense sculptures in Yixiangtang’s Buddhist Worshiping series are calm and peaceful, highlighting the realization of the aspiration to achieve Buddhism after facing the wall for nine years. With exquisite depiction, the Dharma sculptures seem to have entered into a selfless realm. All the Dharma sculptures are with high foreheads, prominent brow ridges, brooding eyes, high nose bridges which are of typical Indian features. The clothes patterns are smooth and natural with Chinese characteristics.
